What we've done

Increase customer engagement to capture residents' voices

We completed local surveys to gather residents' thoughts about their estate and what matters to them.

  • We received 3 responses to our survey - June 2026.
  • There was a 33% overall satisfaction rate - June 2026.

What we're working on

Improving gardens and reducing waste

We're working to improve waste management and keep gardens clean and tidy.

  • Carry out estate inspections and gather feedback to identify and address areas with untidy and waste in gardens - By June 2026.
  • Supporting residents to maintain their gardens and monitor improvements.

Improving gardens and estate appearance

We're working to improve the look of the estate and reduce waste in gardens.

  • Carry out estate inspections and gather feedback to identify and address areas with untidy and waste in gardens - By September 2026.

Listening to residents and improving services

We're working with residents and partners to better understand your views and shape services around what matters most to you.

  • Introducing QR codes to collect feedback after visits - From March 2026.

Improving pest control and cleanliness - Granby Flats

We're working to create a cleaner, safer environment for residents at Granby Flats.

  • Working with Pest Control to address pest issues in flats and communal areas.
  • Treating and cleaning empty properties where pest activity is found.
  • Monitoring the situation closely to prevent repeat issues.

Tackling anti-social behaviour on our estates

We're working with partners to reduce anti-social behaviour and improve safety in the area.

  • Carrying out joint walkarounds with Safer Kirklees to identify hotspot areas — By June 2026.
  • Encouraging residents to report anti-social behaviour - Ongoing

Continue to increase customer engagement to capture residents' voices

We want to complete more local surveys to gather residents' thoughts about their estate and what matters to them.

  • From previous survey results, our top 3 priorities for improvement in Greenhead are cleanliness and waste management, tackle anti-social behaviour whilst improving community safety and housing repairs - September 2026.
  • The Branch runs a coffee morning at the Jubilee Centre Mondays 10am - 12:30pm for local residents in Greenhead.
  • Community Foodshare at the Jubilee Centre Fridays 1:30pm – 2:30pm where residents can get bags of food shopping for £4.

Estate inspections

Your Housing Officers carry out estate inspections at least every three months to check for repairs, fly-tipping, broken lights and grounds maintenance issues.
