The Huddersfield Blueprint is a ten-year vision to create a thriving, modern-day town centre.
The plan aims to deliver five key objectives for Huddersfield Town Centre: A vibrant culture, art, leisure and nightlife offer, thriving businesses, a great place to live, improved access and enhanced public spaces.
It focuses on regenerating six key areas: Station Gateway, St Peter's, Kingsgate and King Street, New Street, the Civic Quarter and a new Cultural Heart in the Queensgate and Piazza area.
The Huddersfield Blueprint was subject to extensive public engagement from June - October 2019. We considered all the comments received and Cabinet approved the Huddersfield Blueprint at Cabinet on 25 February 2020. Cabinet also agreed to start the statutory planning process to convert the Huddersfield Blueprint to a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). This process requires an additional four weeks of consultation.
