Brunswick Street

Brunswick Street has been designed to echo The Commercial Link with soft landscaping, shallow steps and making it more accessible for everyone.

As well as making Brunswick Street work better for pedestrians, we will reveal the street's beautiful historic façades and make this a much nicer, more interesting part of town for people to enjoy.

Removing the bridge will open up views of some of Batley's more beautiful historic architecture, helping us celebrate the town's history and show off the town centre at its best.

Seating for individuals and small groups on Brunswick Street will encourage and allow for different types of interactions, whilst better lighting will improve pedestrian safety. Installing better drainage in this area will also help us manage rainfall better.
