John William Street

John William Street consists of a number of Grade II listed buildings in the centre of Huddersfield, surrounded by a great amount of heritage, dating all the way back to the 1800s.

As time's have moved on, the shops that occupy the street have become more modern with the character of the buildings being lost.

Blending heritage with a modern feel, we worked alongside B&M Properties, the owners of 19 to 33a John William Street, to carefully restore the shop units to their original character, reviving the charm, detail and identity.

Work on the Grade II listed building has seen the replacement of the old aluminium shop fronts and roller shutters with traditional detailing, timber, stall risers and a fascia board which display the name of the business.

This project is being paid for with a grant of £610.5K from the Huddersfield Heritage Led Regeneration Scheme (HLRS).
