North Light Film Studios
One of the largest independent film studios in the North, North Light Film Studios has four studios providing a flexible space for film and TV productions. Facilities include a large parking area for unit base vehicles, props store, kitchen, construction and painter's workshop, art department and account office.
Recent productions include the feature film a Monster Calls shot in a variety of locations in Marsden and the CBBC programme Hank Zipzer which shot at Birkdale School.
Oakwell Hall & Country Park featured in the BBC1 period drama, Jonathon Norell and Mr Strange, and the TV miniseries, Gunpowder.
Jericho was based at North Film Studios and used a number of locations across the district.
The recent BBC 1 drama Love, Lies and Records filmed at Dewsbury Town Hall and iconic comedy Last of the Summer Wine around Holmfirth and the Holme and Colne Valleys.
