Support for Ukraine
Council staff and partners provide a Welcome Club at Huddersfield Ukrainian Club. It provides support for people who have arrived from the Ukraine on a family visa and those who have arrived through the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

#kirkleeswelcomes also provides support for people who are new to Kirklees and provides information about the services and activities #kirkleeswelcomes offer.
Cross-party statement of support
"Our thoughts, prayers and sympathies are with the people of Ukraine at this difficult time. The disturbing events are being felt across Europe, the world, and also here in Kirklees.
"We are proud of our Ukrainian community in Kirklees. They enrich our district and make Kirklees the vibrant and welcoming place we know it is. We want the Ukrainian residents of Kirklees to know they have our unwavering support."
