Kirklees Library Hubs are welcoming spaces where you can access library services and get support with everyday life.
Our hubs bring together library services and community support in one place, making it easier to get the help you need close to home.
How we can help
We can help you to:
- access council and community services.
- use computers, scanners and online services.
- complete online forms and applications.
- improve your digital skills and confidence.
- find local groups, activities and volunteering opportunities.
- connect with housing, education and employment support.
- get referred to specialist services if you need extra support.
Support that works for you
Everyone's needs are different. We offer different levels of support depending on how much help you need. You can:
- use our computers, Wi-Fi, scanners and telephones independently.
- ask staff for guidance if you need a little help.
- spend more time with a member of staff if you have a more complex issue.
If we cannot provide the support you need, we will help you find the right organisation or service.
Get help with digital skills
If you're not confident using technology, we can help. Support includes:
- accessing online services.
- setting up and using an email account.
- completing online forms and applications.
- uploading documents.
- using a mobile phone, tablet or computer.
- printing, scanning and copying documents.
- staying safe online.
Health and wellbeing support
Through our partnerships with local health and community organisations, you may be able to access:
- healthy lifestyle support: Kirklees Wellness Service
- stop smoking support
- healthy weight programmes
- health coaching.
- social prescribing.
- wellbeing activities and support groups.
If you need specialist support, we'll help you find the right service.

Our Library Hubs offer:

- screen readers and screen magnification software.
- hearing loops.
- large print resources.
- autism-friendly spaces.
- support for people with sensory or cognitive impairments.
- information in different languages and formats where available.
