Golcar Library will be closed from Monday 7th September for building and refurbishment works. During this period:
- Golcar Library will be closed to the public
- Customers will be unable to collect reserved items from Golcar Library
- All items currently on loan from Golcar Library will have their loan periods extended until the library reopens
- Customers may return their items to any Kirklees Library that is convenient for them

During the move period, Huddersfield Library Hub services will be delivered differently while books, collections and resources are packed and moved.
Whilst we move, a limited range of services will remain available at our Civic Centre 3 location (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am - 5pm, Thursday 10am-5pm) including book returns, Carephones equipment returns, public access computers and telephones for council services, planning and personal search software, and the self-scan station.
If you need to use library services before the new hub opens, please visit one of our other libraries or use our online services. Please contact Kirklees Libraries on Tel: 01484 414868 for further guidance.
