We are going to Holmfirth Library
Before I go to the library
I'm going to Holmfirth Library.

About the library
When I go through the doors, if I look right I see the stairs. These go up to the first floor where there are the toilets, the computers and even more books.

When I go through the doors, if I look left I will see a help desk.

More about the library
When I go left into the library I will see the help desk, children's area and fiction books.

A member of staff will be able to help me if I need it.

The library is usually a place where people talk quietly, relax and read books.

Sometimes it might be noisy and busy. I can always talk to a member of staff about this.

How I become a member of the library
I will talk to a member of staff to help me become a member of the library.

I will tell them my name, address, date of birth, telephone number and email address.

Then I will be given a library card and talked to about how to borrow books and use the computers for free.

In the library there will be shelves of books.

When I visit the library
In the library there will be shelves of books.

I can sit in a chair to read a book.

If I want to borrow a book I will talk to a member of the library staff.

The member of staff will show me how to borrow my books and tell me when I need to bring them back to the library.

More about the library
I will go up the stairs if I want to look at non-fiction books, use a computer or use the toilets.

When I am on the first floor landing I will see graphic novels.

When I turn to my right I will see the toilets on my right and the way into the upstairs library.

I will see the upstairs help desk and the entrance to the computer area.

The library have computers and Wi-Fi which I can use for free.

To use the computers or Wi-Fi, I will need to talk to a member of staff who will help.

There are newspapers and other information such as Holmfirth history, biographies, travel guides and much more.

I will go back downstairs to borrow any books, and when I have finished I will leave the library.
