Leisure town

The way our town centres look is changing, not just in Kirklees but up and down the country - and it's all about expanding what they have to offer.

Woven throughout our blueprint projects, we're aiming to make Dewsbury town centre more vibrant and varied. We want to give people more reasons to visit and spend time in the town centre, from day through to night, including more opportunities for experiences and entertainment, creativity and culture.

Across the town centre we're looking to create more 'flexible' indoor and outdoor spaces, which will not just be great areas for people to meet and socialise but also fantastic places to hold a wide variety of events and activities. As well as bolstering everything our town already has to offer, this will allow our town centre to grow and change with time, giving people more to do and more reasons to visit for years to come.
