Greenway connections
As part of our work on the Greenway Connection, we're pedestrianising Cheapside and Cross Crown Street. This will connect the Spen Valley Greenway with Spen Bottoms.
On Cheapside, we're creating a brand new play park and encouraging pavement cafés, making the area a great place to socialise for people of all ages.
We're implementing traffic calming measures to make travel by road near the Greenway smoother and safer. We're also making this safer for people on foot, by removing parking in the underpass and improving lighting.
