Express ceremony

These ceremonies are perfect for those who prefer a simple and intimate occasion, as well as for couples who are working to time-sensitive deadlines, such as visa applications, employment changes, or legal requirements.

These ceremonies can take place as little as one one week after the statutory period has been completed, depending on availability.

Express ceremonies are conducted in a working office within the Civic Centre. They are available from Tuesday to Friday, and attendance is restricted to the couple and their witnesses. You may choose to exchange rings; however, readings, music, photography, and other personalised elements are not permitted.

For this ceremony type, when giving your notice of marriage or civil partnership, please state Kirklees Register Office as your venue.

Costs

The cost for these ceremonies is:

• Tuesday to Thursday: £240
• Friday: £385
