Upperhead Row Car Park
Upperhead Row Car Park situated above Huddersfield Bus Station is a popular car park with visitors to the town centre. To ensure the car park fulfils the needs of the users, we are making some essential improvements.
Work includes structural enhancements, installation of a new fire detection system, enhanced CCTV coverage, replacement fire doors, upgraded entrance and exit ramps and lighting, and ramp safety heating to counteract snow and ice.
Once the refurbishment is complete there will be an overall reduction of 71 spaces due to the increase in the width of bays to accommodate larger modern vehicles, as well as additional accessible parking bays rising from 11 to 22.

The car park will benefit from additional accessible parking spaces as they increase from 11 to 22. Clear footways, new lifts, stairwells, way finder information, colour coded and numbers on each level make it easier to navigate.
With improved car parking facilities and the upcoming Huddersfield Bus Station improvement scheme, more people can hop from the car and head into town with ease.
