Culture is Ordinary conference

What happened on the day

The Culture Is Ordinary conference took place on Friday 11th November 2022 and started the journey to create a cultural strategy for Kirklees.

The Cultural Is Ordinary symposium was delivered by Kirklees Council in collaboration with the Schools of Arts and Humanities at the University of Huddersfield, and supported by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, through the Gainshare Capacity Fund.

Discussions on the day covered all aspects of Culture within Kirklees including our heritage, visitor economy, health and well being, sport, education and the engaging of all communities in Kirklees in culture.
