Under 18's
There is no charge for the burial or cremation of Kirklees residents aged 18 or under.
Kirklees Council will claim this back from the Governments Children's Funeral Fund.

The Children's Funeral Fund for England (CFF)
The Children's Funeral Fund for England is a scheme to provide funding for the fees charged for any burial or cremation of a child under the age of 18 or stillborn after 24 weeks of pregnancy. The fund also covers certain associated expenses.
There are no nationality or residency requirements. Funding is available regardless of the income of the child's parents, guardian or carer.
Kirklees Council will make the claim for the burial or cremation fees as applicable.

The term resident means, with regard to right of burial and interment fees:

- A person, who although living outside the borough when they died, used to be a resident in Kirklees at the time when they or their next of kin bought the exclusive right of burial:
