This fine Victorian town hall is situated in the centre of bustling Dewsbury town centre.

The venue offers you an intimate 700 seat concert hall, spectacular function and meeting rooms, which are ideal setting for events, weddings, conferences, award ceremonies, meetings, multi cultural events and other celebrations.

The impressive grade II listed building is filled with unique features including original stained glass windows, wood panelling, beautiful marble columns and spectacular ornate ceilings.

And what's more, did you know that Dewsbury is considered to be the smallest town in the country to host a classical concert season?

Parking and dropping off

There are a limited number of parking spaces for blue badge holders next to the town hall on Wakefield Road.

Lift access

The lift accesses the concert hall and all meeting rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor. Please note that there are steps to all rows of seating on the balcony. Please be aware that the lift will not be available in the event of an evacuation.

Wheelchair users

The town hall is accessible to wheelchair users and dedicated seating is available in the rear stalls.

An induction loop and dedicated toilet facilities for those with disabilities are also available within Dewsbury Town Hall. We also welcome guide dogs, please ask if you need help with your seat.

Nearest car park

This is only 20 metres away from the town hall. The small car park offers 23 spaces.

Other car parks

There are on street parking bays situated at the rear and side of the town hall. A larger car park is available behind Dewsbury Sports Centre and is adjacent to Mecca Bingo. This car park is only 5 minutes walk to the town hall.
