Public access wi-fi

• Open Settings and select Wi-Fi (On some samsung devices, Connections, wi-fi.)
• Turn on Wi-Fi, if necessary
• Select "Kirklees-Public-Access-wi-fi" from the list of available wireless networks and connect.
• Open your mobile web browser and browse to any website. This will launch Kirklees Wi-Fi landing page
• New users can now enter the information required to sign up - existing users can ignore this and continue to browse the internet.

• Open the available wireless networks list.
• Select "Kirklees-Public-Access-wi-fi" from the list of available wireless networks and connect.
• Open your web browser and browse to any website. This will launch Kirklees Wi-Fi landing page
• New users can now enter the information required to sign up - existing users can ignore this and continue to browse the internet.

• Open the wi-fi menu on the top menu
• Select 'Turn on wi-fi On', if Wi-Fi is not already switched on.
• Select "Kirklees-Public-Access-wi-fi" from the list of available wireless networks and connect.
• The Kirklees landing page will open atuomatically. If it doesn't, browse to any page in your web browser
• New users can now enter the information required to sign up - existing users can ignore this and continue to browse the internet.

If you are having trouble connecting, check:

• Does your device have wireless capabilities?
• Does your device have a switch to turn on Wi-Fi?
• Do you have a static IP assigned?
• Have you disabled your proxy settings?

You can help safeguard your connection with some basic precautions

• If you are a business user, use a secure VPN when accessing your corporate network
• Password protect or use a PIN to secure your device
• Do not leave credit card details displayed on the screen
• Always ensure your antivirus software is up to date
• Turn off automatic login settings
• Enter your bank account details ONLY when you are sure the website is secure(Click on the padlock on the web browser to confirm it is secure).
