What to expect on the day:

Choose from two of the following workshops to create a bespoke visit to suit your students:

  • School experience: Pupils work in small groups to design and build dens using only natural or sustainably sourced materials. Focus on teamwork, communication, and thinking about what animals need from shelter.
  • Useful plants: Pupils will learn how to use the natural world and what plants are useful for humans and animals.
  • Natural art and dyes: Creating art with leaves, sticks, and natural resources. Understanding how dyes are made to help great sustainable art.
  • Citizen science: What is a citizen scientist? Pupils will learn the responsibility they hold to the planet.
  • Pond dipping: Pupils use nets and trays to gently explore pond life. Identify species, discuss adaptations and food chains. Recording finds of the pond life found in the pond with link to citizen science. Habitat Bingo - Collecting data in the country park
