Savile Town Playing Field
About the site
Savile Town Playing Field is in the Dewsbury South Ward of Kirklees. Together with Ward Councillors, we have created a new design for the play area.
Project overview
We aim to make the play provision at this site more appealing, and accessible to all age groups, by incorporating natural play with traditional play equipment and ensuring that our communities are able to enjoy the fantastic opportunities which play can bring.
The new plan for the site includes:
- New 35m Zip Wire
- New Mast Net Climber
- New Basket swing
- Improvements to current Play Area fence and gate
- New trees

Next steps
The design will now be implemented on site and is expected to be complete in Summer 2023.
