About the site
Kirklees Council has funding to improve the play area at Kiln Avenue, Mirfield. Initial proposals have been put together in conjunction with your local councillors and considering information received from residents within the local area.
Whilst the scheme may initially seem quite modest and understated, a lot of thought has been put into the proposal with the aim of providing a playable space that will better suit the local community.

Following the consultation that took place we have made some minor changes to the design to focus on play for younger children. Please see the revised design below which includes a toddler climbing unit and playful floor games, a new bin and low level landscape clearance.

Next steps
Contractors will be starting works on site in the first quarter of 2025.
