About the site
Fieldhead Co-Location Centre is in the Birstall and Birkenshaw Ward of Kirklees. Local Councillors, Kirklees Community Association and Kirklees Council have secured funding to improve the play area in the grounds of the Co-Location Centre. Initial proposals have been put together in conjunction with partners. The new design aims to make the play provision accessible to children in the Fieldhead are.

Project overview
Play in the outdoors has the potential to have a large and important role in a child's physical, social and cognitive development, it is also not reserved solely for children, the co-location centre is a resource for all the family and community. We aim to make the play provision more appealing, and accessible for the community, by incorporating natural play with traditional play equipment. Ensuring that our communities can enjoy the fantastic opportunities which play can bring.
