Keep your child's name on the in-year waiting list for a Community or Voluntary Controlled school for the next term.

About school waiting lists

The Admission authority for community and voluntary controlled schools in Kirklees is the Kirklees Local Authority. Waiting lists for these schools are held for the remainder of the term for which the place was applied for. The children's names on a waiting list for a community of voluntary controlled school will be removed at the end of the term.

For academy, foundation, trust and voluntary aided schools please contact the school directly and they will be able to advise you what you need to do. DO NOT complete this form.

You cannot keep your child's name on a waiting list for the next academic school year.

If you would like to request a place at a school for the next school year you will need to complete a new in-year common application form (ICAF) and return it to the school no sooner than the beginning of the Summer Term before the September.

When you have completed and submitted the form you will receive an automated message confirming that your child's name will remain on the waiting list for the next term. Please note you will not receive a letter from Kirklees Pupil Admissions unless a place has become available at the school and your child's name is at the top of the waiting list at that time.
