Welcome Club at Huddersfield Ukrainian Club
Council staff and partners provide a Welcome Club at Huddersfield Ukrainian Club. It provides support for people who have arrived from the Ukraine on a family visa and those who have arrived through the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
Final monthly Welcome Club sessions
The final monthly Welcome Club sessions at the Huddersfield Ukrainian Club will take place on Tuesday 30 June and Tuesday 28 July 2026.

Our regular welfare calls and visits will continue to be delivered by Housing Solutions and the project team.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Huddersfield Ukrainian Club for their ongoing support and for generously providing such a welcoming venue and grounds over the past four years. We are also grateful to the services that have regularly attended the Welcome Club, including Housing Solutions, TW4E, INAT, and DWP.

Drop-in sessions
At the monthly drop-in sessions, people can have an initial discussion about how things are since arrival and see what support may be needed. Guidance may include how to:
- access benefits - this will take a little time so it's important that they apply for this as soon as possible.
- access a bank account.
- apply for nursery, school and college places.
- register with a GP and dentist.
- learn English.
- progress towards employment when the time is right.
Please allow enough time when you visit as the drop-in sessions are often busy. You may need to wait for the service you wish to see. Alternatively you may wish to make an appointment and return at a later date.
