Wellness Service: People living healthier, happier lives and feeling more able to look after themselves.

We support adults 18 years+ on a one to one basis to develop personally tailored health and wellbeing goals. All of our services are free of charge.

Refer to the Wellness Service if you are a healthcare professional who needs to refer someone, or would like to refer yourself.

Interactive workshops to help people maintain/achieve a healthier weight.

Empowering people to become better and more resilient in combating loneliness and isolation.

Group sessions

We also facilitate group sessions for healthy weight (healthy eating advice and information) and smoking (support to stop smoking) that run across Kirklees at a range of locations in the afternoon and evening. These sessions are for people who need help, support and guidance to lose weight and stop smoking in a safe and supported manner.

Latest group sessions for carers

Come and join our free sessions. Speak with our friendly staff and share tips with other carers at our 2 and a half hour sessions all around Kirklees.


We also have a range of carers and self-care courses which are free of charge that run across Kirklees every month. These are designed to support you to build resilience, develop coping mechanisms and connect with peers who are going through similar difficulties.

Where the service is delivered

You can access our services across Kirklees during core business hours (9:00am - 5:00pm) with flexibility around evenings depending on need.

How to refer

For professionals

The service is for people who are committed to identifying personal goals and making a lifestyle behaviour change. Wellness Workers and Coaches will work with people to use motivational interviewing and health coaching techniques to identify goals and help them to plan positive health related change.
