Kirklees Fostering Network

Upon approval you will automatically become a member of the Kirklees Fostering Network (KFN). This is a registered charity, run by our foster carers for our foster carers.

Support and activities

The network provides lots of opportunities for everybody to access support, meet foster carers and make new friends.

There are weekly coffee mornings, support groups, family activities, days out and social gatherings for birth children and foster children, bringing families together.

Helpline

The KFN provides a confidential 24 hour helpline offering advice, a listening ear and extra support. It can be reassuring for all foster carers to know there is always somebody to talk to, whatever the time; you really are not alone.

What George says

"Being a foster carer in Kirklees is like being part of one big family. As well as the support I receive from the council fostering team, I also belong to a local fostering group. The Kirklees Fostering Network, who have welcomed me with so much warmth and enthusiasm"
