There are plenty of cycling opportunities available for children, young people and adults and you can find our more information from the cycling opportunities booklet; including training, bike rides, and community activities. You can get involved with local cycling events, training and bike maintenance sessions too.

Tour de France Legacy

Kirklees Council, with the other West Yorkshire local authorities and those across the Yorkshire and Humber region signed up to deliver a cycling legacy from the Tour de France in 2014.

At a West Yorkshire level, West Yorkshire Sport leads the Cycle West Yorkshire group consisting of transport, leisure and health representatives of the local authorities, plus the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, British Cycling, the CTC and Sustrans.
