About the site
Victoria Park is located in the Holme Valley South ward. The site has been allocated a portion of S106 funding from a local housing development as well as funding through the Kirklees Playable Spaces Programme to improve play facilities on site.

The design process
Together with Holme Valley South Ward Councillors we created a new design for the play area at Victoria Park consulted with residents on this.
The key aims of the redevelopment project are to:
- Retain as much equipment in good condition and good play value as possible
- Create a more open, natural play site
- Provide opportunities for increasing dwell time and community gathering/socialising
The design incorporates a mix of new equipment installation, the refurbishment of current equipment, and improvements in accessibility through surfacing changes.
