Moorend Recreation Ground

Project overview

Together with Ward Councillors we have created a new design for the Play Area and we're interested to hear what residents think about the proposed facilities and ideas for play at Moorend Recreation Ground.

The first step in the process is to gather feedback from the local community about the new proposed design at Moorend Rec. Based on the feedback received, we will then make any amendments to the design that are practicable. The final design will then be implemented on site.

A draft design has been created to improve the play space here. The new design aims to make the play provision more appealing and accessible to all age groups by using a variety of play equipment types and natural play features.

The proposed plan for the site includes:

• Relocation of play area to the opposite side of the field away from the busy road
• New play equipment
• Natural play features
• Fitness equipment
• Improvements to entrance paths
• New path to the relocated play area

This survey is now closed and the feedback is now being reviewed by our Parks Development Team.
