Moorend Recreation Ground

Project overview

Together with Ward Councillors we created a new design for the Play Area and we shared this with you to gather your thoughts and feedback.

Following the engagement process the final design includes:

• The relocation of play area to the opposite side of the field away from the busy road
• New play equipment, including a climbing unit suitable for toddlers
• Improvements to entrance paths
• New path to the relocated play area
• Ward Councillors have also generously contributed towards additional paths around the recreation ground
• The fencing from the old play area will be repurposed to provide railings along the Exchange Street-side of the recreation ground

Next steps

Contractors are due to start works on site in the first quarter of 2025.
