About the site
Howden Clough Recreation Ground located within the Birstall and Birkenshaw ward of Kirklees. It is a community park and recreation ground situated between Leeds Road and Howden Clough Estate. This site has been highlighted by local councillors as the next within the ward to be to be redeveloped within the Playable Spaces programme.

Project overview
Before we create a design, we want to gather feedback from the local community and park users about what changes they would like to see at Howden Clough Recreation Ground, with a focus on improving access to play and the type of play available.
Based on the feedback received, we will then develop a new play area design that is fit for the needs of the community. This design will be discussed with Local Councillors alongside the feedback before agreeing to consult with the public again on an agreed design before the design is confirmed.
