Crow Nest Park
About the site
Crow Nest Park is one of Kirklees' destination parks and is located in the Dewsbury Moor area within the Dewsbury West ward.
Open access play facilities in the park currently includes a multi-age play area with traditional play equipment, a multi-use games area (MUGA) and throughout the park there are various items of outdoor gym equipment.
Project overview
Play in the outdoors has the potential to have a large and important role in a child's physical, social and cognitive development. It is also not reserved solely for children and young people; it should be encouraged at all stages of life, with many benefits to be experienced by individuals and communities.
Kirklees Council has funding to invest in play in Crow Nest Park and our aim is to improve and enhance play provision and improve accessibility for multiple age groups and abilities.
