Join us in creating a sustainable future for West Yorkshire! The Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority are working in partnership with Kirklees Council and One Community to offer grants to community groups to support climate friendly projects.
Our collaboration ensures efficient management and effective distribution of the grants, maximizing their impact across West Yorkshire.
The West Yorkshire Combined Authority has set an ambitious target to become a net-zero carbon region by 2038, with significant progress by 2030. To achieve this, we need your help! The mayor is launching a community grants scheme, offering funding ranging from £5,000 to £50,000 to community groups and voluntary organizations.
We are seeking projects that prioritize:
- Local, clean, and flexible energy solutions
- Healthy, affordable, and efficient buildings
- Walking, cycling, and public transport
- Green and climate-ready nature solutions
