About Kirklees Supply Service
Being part of Kirklees Council means we hold ourselves to a particularly high standard, and over our long history we have built up strong working relationships with schools throughout the borough. All our staff are Safer Recruitment trained and our rigorous recruitment process ensures the highest safeguarding standards.
A small administration fee guarantees all pre-employment checks and safer recruitment processes have been carried out to the highest level. We comply with Agency Worker Regulations.
For maintained schools, we offer internal charging, reducing your admin burden.

We're not run for profit, so our ethos is focused on quality and good outcomes for children and schools, not making money. We don't cut costs to help our bottom line. We pay our staff at a rate that values their skills and experience, and thus can promise you quality and commitment every time. All our staff have access to training to keep their knowledge up to date.
We put schools first
In response to customer feedback, we have diversified the services we offer by introducing new supply roles. In the past few years, we have gone from a teachers' only service to providing Educational Teaching Assistants (ETAs), Business Support Officers (BSOs), nursery officers, 1-1 tutors working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) children, childcare assistants, and lunchtime supervisors.
During the pandemic we relieved the financial burden on schools by providing free hours for the use of our supply staff, allowing schools to open for key worker children and the vulnerable. Throughout we waivered the administration fee on pandemic-related cover.
