In Kirklees you can choose to access support from:
- your GP
- your local community pharmacy
- Kirklees Wellness Service
The services all provide the same stop smoking support, but in slightly different environments. You can choose which is right for you.
Kirklees Wellness Service is a council service which offers support, over the telephone or in person, to stop smoking.
NHS Smokefree online support has been used by millions of people to help them stop smoking. Choose from an app, email, SMS, and face-to-face guidance. You can also find a range of Stop smoking treatments .

Smoking and pregnancy
Protecting your baby from tobacco smoke is one of the best things you can do to give your child a healthy start in life. It can be difficult to stop smoking, but it's never too late to quit.
In Kirklees, we have a fantastic service that can support you if you are trying to get pregnant, already pregnant, or new parents. They provide a variety of services, including specialist stop smoking support.
Auntie Pam's is a 1:1 service offered by local women who are trained as peer volunteers, who understand what it is like to be a parent and what it is you are going through.
Our volunteers will take time, listen, and talk with you over a cuppa and help you to find answers that are best for you. They are non-judgemental and anything you tell them is in strictest confidence.
