Integrated impact assessments
Kirklees Council assesses the impact of proposed changes to services, policies and decisions using Integrated Impact Assessments (IIAs). Each IIA considers equality impact, covering the nine protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010, (plus the effect of changes on low earners, unpaid carers, members of the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities and those covered by the Armed Forces Covenant), access to services and the environment.

We previously assessed the impact of proposed changes to services, policies and decisions using Integrated Impact Assessments (IIAs). Each IIA considered equality impact, covering the nine protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010, plus environmental impact and the effects on low earners and unpaid carers.
