Senior Travel Pass for Older People
The Concessionary Fares Scheme is administered by the council's Non Means Tested Benefits Team on behalf of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (Metro).
The senior pass provides free, off-peak bus travel throughout England and half-fare, off-peak train travel throughout West Yorkshire, for West Yorkshire residents.
Eligibility
Older people qualify for a senior pass if they have reached the UK State Pension age and are a resident of West Yorkshire.
How to apply for or renew a Senior Pass if you are of pensionable age
You can apply four weeks before your eligibility date.
Apply for a Senior PassAfter you've applied
You should receive your pass within 7 to 10 days if you apply online, and within 21 days if you apply at a travel centre.
Other ways to apply
You can also apply for a Senior Pass at a bus station travel centre or one of the Kirklees customer service centres.
If you have lost or had your pass stolen
You must apply for a new pass.
