Changing Places Toilets
Changing Places Toilets are facilities for people who may be unable to use standard accessible toilets. The facilities provide additional space for users and carers and incorporate equipment specifically designed for those with profound physical and learning disabilities.

- A hoist system*
- Shower facilities (where provided)
For Health and Safety reasons we do not provide slings. Users are asked to bring their own sling which will need to be compatible with the hoists loop system.

Visitors should report to reception when they arrive at the building, you will then be given directions to the toilet.
Blue badge parking is available in designated spaces in the Albion Street Car Park which sits below Civic Centre 1 and there is a designated Blue Badge Car Park in front of Civic Centre 3 which is within easy walking distance of Civic Centre 1.
There is also blue badge parking on Albion Street along with on street parking. Access to the building is via a wheelchair ramp or steps.

The facility has limited opening hours, please call the number provided to check if the facility will be open when you plan to visit.
There are three designated disabled parking spaces in the car park. It is a short walk up a slope to the former stable block which houses the toilet.
Access to the building is on level ground.
The facilities do not fully meet the Changing Places Toilet specification, as it was installed prior to current legislation.

The staff are happy for anyone to drop in to use the facilities, but it would be useful if you could telephone in advance to advise them of your visit. The toilet is known as the Hygiene Room on site.
Currently there are no designated disabled parking spaces near the Coach House, but there are some in front of main house. It is a short walk to the Coach House from these spaces.

The facility is only available for use by the public when events are taking place in the town hall.

There is a ramp for easy access to the building. The toilet is accessed through the box office and bar area on the right as you enter the building.
