What we're doing

The Council is proposing to change the age range of the school from age 3 –16 years to age 3 – 11 years (to be implemented from September 2020). Statutory proposals have been published on Friday 7 June 2019, and for the next 4 weeks (up to and including Thursday 4 July), stakeholders are invited to comment on the proposals. What happened?

The four week representation period took place 7 June - 4 July 2019. Representations were received and collated in a final decision report that was presented to Cabinet 16 July 2019. Cabinet made the decision to approve the proposal.

What difference did the work make?

Cabinet agreed to change the age range of Almondbury Community School from 3-16 years to 3-11 years from 1 September 2019.
