Kirklees Young People's Survey 2018

What we're doing

The survey helps to inform commissioning and service provision and increase our understanding of the behaviour and views of young people. We use this data to update the Kirklees Joint Strategic Assessment (KJSA) and monitor the achievement of outcomes. This survey follows on from previous surveys in 2001, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2014.

More information on what we're doing

This is an online pupil survey, to be completed by pupils during school lessons. The survey will focus on Year 9 pupils, and will also be offered to children of Year 9 age that are not attending school.
Only selected groups

What happened?

The survey was completed by just over 2,000 Year 9 pupils across Kirklees - many thanks to the school and pupils taking part.

A summary of top-level findings has been published, along with a breakdown of responses by question and a technical report detailing the methodology used. The schools that took part have each also received a tailored school-level report.

Further analysis is being carried out and additional products (including an animated video) will be published here.
