Have your say on proposed changes to the Excellent Homes for Life Bistro Service

What we're doing

We have put together two options that would make changes to the provision of the Bistro Service in the 3 Excellent Homes for Life schemes. We would like to understand how much you agree or disagree with each option. Full information can be found on a dedicated webpage on the Council's website.

The Bistro Services are accessible by the public and therefore they are also invited, alongside tenants, to have their say on the proposed changes.

Posters are also displayed at the 3 schemes which include the webpage link and a QR code to access the survey.

What happened?

The consultation responses confirmed that the majority of respondents did not want the Bistro service to close. The majority of respondents were also not in favour of the introduction of a service charge for the provision of the Bistro service. A number of additional comments were received including an ask to the Council to explore 3rd party catering provision as an alternative.

What difference did the work make?

We would like to thank respondents for their input to the consultation. Following an internal review of the findings, the Bistro Service will remain open at this time whilst active steps to explore alternative catering provision/providers is undertaken in the new year. Following the conclusion of our exploration into alternative provisions, a report will be submitted for consideration and final decision.
