Multiply
Multiply is the free, government funded, adult maths support programme, part of Levelling Up, Skills for Life, the Department for Education, and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The Multiply programme aims to boosts people's ability to use maths in their daily life, at home and work.
Whether that be improving household finances, helping children with homework, making more sense of the facts in the media, or improving numeracy skills specific to a line of work.
All adults (19 years and over) who need to improve their numeracy (up to and including level 2 or equivalent) will be able to access free flexible courses and initiatives that fit around their lives - whether this is in person or online, at work or in their own time (evenings, part time or intensively).
In West Yorkshire, Multiply is led by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority as part of the Mayor's ambition to make West Yorkshire the best place to work, learn and live.
Eligibility
You must be aged 19 or over, and not have a L2 maths qualification i.e. GCSE Grade C/Grade 4.

We want people in Kirklees to have aspiration to achieve their ambitions through education, training, employment and lifelong learning. Courses and workshops
There are a wide range of courses and workshops available.
All courses are free.
Courses include:
- Help with employability skills
- Boost confidence and thinking skills
- Health and wellbeing
- Eating healthily and on a budget
- Digital skills for all levels
There are also courses to support family learning, including phonics, reading and how to manage challenging behaviour.
Taking part in courses
We offer a range of adult learning courses and hope you enjoy learning with us. We work with a range of partners to offer high quality adult learning. All the partners we work with are committed to:
- offering a friendly, adult atmosphere that encourages you to succeed
- welcoming, respecting and valuing the diversity and rights of learners and staff
- ensuring your well-being and security by providing a safe environment
Your tutor will ask you what you want to gain from your course/ your personal goals and will help you as much as possible. Please talk to your tutor if there is anything we can do to help. You will receive feedback from your tutor about what is going well and how to get the most out of your learning. We want you to enjoy every aspect of being on your course. This includes being valued and safe.

Eligibility
You must be aged 19 or over, live in Kirklees and be a resident of the UK for 3 years or more or a spouse of a UK resident, or if an asylum seeker or refugee that you have been in the UK for 6 months and are yet to have a decision on your status

Funding and delivery
Adult Learning Kirklees is funded via the Adult Education Budget from West Yorkshire Combined Authority and delivered through a collaboration of partners across the Kirklees district. It is managed by Kirklees Council and delivered by Aalfy, Crosland Moor Community Learning Centre, Kirklees Success Centre, Proper Job Theatre Co and Ravensthorpe Community Centre.

Our team can support you in breaking down any barriers that you may face when moving into employment, progressing within your career and developing your required skillset. You can access bespoke support, tailored specifically to your needs and future aspirations. Whether you need help developing your CV, practicing your interview techniques or would like support in building your confidence to secure your dream job, we can help.
Our Employment Kirklees programme is available to anyone age 16 and over, and offers information and guidance if you are employed and looking to improve your job status, helping assess your future career plans, supporting you in identifying qualifications, sourcing better work opportunities, helping you to find your next job role or career challenge and ensuring you have the skills needed to develop and thrive.
