The Children in Care Council is a way that children and young people who are looked after by Kirklees Council can have a say about things that really matter and affect your lives. Whether you live with a foster carer, in a children's home or have recently left care your ideas can make a big difference.
Join the Children in Care Council
Take part in fun activities and events that give you and all looked after children and young people a chance to say what is good about living in care and what we can all do to make it better.
The Children in Care Council will have a main group of children and young people that meet regularly to discuss their ideas and plans.
There will also be smaller groups that work on projects such as websites, events, newsletters and activities. So no matter what you are good at or how much time you can spare, there is always something that you can get involved in to help the Children in Care Council and make a massive difference to looked after children and young people all over Kirklees. The Children in Care Council works with the Children's Rights Service.About the Children in Care council
