Flytipping is the dumping of waste on the highway or on land without the owner's permission. The council will take enforcement action against the perpetrators of flytipping where there is sufficient evidence. However, it is the responsibility of private land owners to arrange for the correct disposal of flytipped waste and make sure it is done by a registered waste carrier at a licensed site. The council will help with this if required.
