'Yours for Eternity' - A Romance of the Great War, by John Rumsby. The book is based on an extraordinary collection of 150 letters found in a tin box in the attic of a house in the town.

Hudderfield's roll of honour

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour 1914-1922 is a detailed account of 3,439 service personnel from Huddersfield who lost their lives during the First World War. The book costs £20, available to purchase from Huddersfield University press

First World War resource box

A resource box of First World War Objects, Posters and Costumes which is available to be borrowed, free of charge, by schools and community groups for a 2 week period. The resource box needs to be booked, collected and returned to Tolson Museum.

Kirkburton History Group
