What a Homesharer is

A Homesharer is someone seeking affordable accomodation and is also able to assist an individual who can live independently in their own home but may need help with small jobs around the house.

What being a Homesharer involves

You will offer support, companionship and peace of mind in return for your own room in a comfortable home.

As a Homesharer, you are expected to provide a minimum of 10 hours support each week and sleep overnight in the house.

Jobs may include some cooking and light housework, help with computers and technology, maybe some shopping or gardening, spending time together over a meal or cup of tea as well as occasional trips out.

You will be making a big difference to their quality of life!

The reassuring presence of another person in the house overnight is often an additional benefit for the Householder.

Homeshare is a great way to give back to your community!

How it works

You will be carefully matched with a Householder meeting your requirements.

Once the relevant background checks have been made and a match has been identified you will get the opportunity to meet with your potential housemate.

If you are both happy then, together, with support from the Homeshare team, you will agree what support you as the Homesharer will give.
