One person supporting another in conversation

We're interested and value the experiences that you may have had with domestic abuse. Your lived experience can help us to improve and inform our service and that of other organisations that we work with.

We appreciate that the subject of domestic abuse is a sensitive subject and sharing experiences can be traumatic not only to the victim but also to their family and friends. We would like to reassure you that information you provide will be anonymised so that any personal details are not used, and no one would be able to be identified from the experiences that have been shared.

We would like to know how you escaped the abuse, which agencies helped you and which agencies could have done more. We want to know about the impact the abuse had on you, your children, and your family and how you think we can help other victims and survivors.

Any experiences of domestic abuse can help us to improve our services, be used for publicity and training, shared with other victims, and shared with partner organisations within Kirklees to provide feedback about the services that they are providing. Click on the button below to start sharing your experiences.
