Service Description:
The Planning Service is responsible for policy making - to guide future development, development control - deciding day to day on how present proposals fit in with future plans and present needs, conservation of the built heritage and natural environment, promotion of good urban design, and improvements to the public realm - supplementing council resources by securing funding from external agencies so that improvements to our environment may be implemented.
