The Big Picture

The Big Picture describes how all our plans and strategies fit together to help us deliver our ambition for Kirklees and to describe what's special about this place. There are four parts to the Big Picture, these are:-

Through our community strategy we have a vision for Kirklees places.
What's special about Kirklees places?
  • great landscapes, great townscapes
  • diversity of towns and community
  • identification with towns - pride in our towns and villages
  • cultural heritage and vibrancy
  • university - best in the country in student assessments
  • younger than average population
