Kirklees offers markets at different
venues over 7 days a week, so whatever you are shopping for our traders can come up with the goods.
Markets are located at Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Holmfirth, Cleckheaton, Heckmondwike, Batley and Birstall. All our
markets have historic links, and each has developed its own character and style.
The larger open markets are located at Huddersfield and Dewsbury, whilst smaller local markets are located at
Holmfirth, Cleckheaton, Heckmondwike, Batley and Birstall, on various days of the week.
In addition, perhaps one of the largest genuine car boot sales is held every Sunday at Dewsbury, with over 160 stalls.
There are market halls at Queensgate in the centre of Huddersfield with over 100 traders. At Dewsbury the Market Hall
is adjacent to the Open Market and is full with over 33 shop units while the smaller Cleckheaton Market Arcade
provides local shopping.
For more details on any of these markets see market details below.
As well as all the market shopping days you will be delighted with a visit to one of our many market events. These
range from continental markets, pot fairs, bazaars, entertainments at the Markets and of course Christmas grottos.
You can also find out about obtaining a stall on one of the Kirklees markets.
There is information about charges, leasing procedure and letting conditions.
