Enjoy home-cooked cakes and cream teas at The Wrinkled Stocking Tea Room, next to Nora Batty's Steps. Here you can see a signed photograph by Cathy Staff (Nora Batty) and Bill Owen (Compo) on the wall above the fireplace.
You can't fail to be tickled, impressed, and touched by the photographs and memorabilia from the last 40 years of the Last of the Summer Wine. Remember Bill Owen in one of the three commemoration books, filled with thousands of well-wishers at the Last of the Summer Wine Exhibition.

What better way to see the many filming locations than aboard a vintage bus on the Summer Wine Magic TV Location Tour. With highlights such as Cleggy's house and the White Horse pub, you can often spot the actors having a stroll in the beautiful countryside - so keep your eyes peeled! You'll also discover where Bill Owen rented a cottage when filming was taking place, and a little about the history of Holmfirth too; how flooding devastated the village on two occasions, the Bamforths saucy postcard empire and famous people. Catch the bus outside Sid's Café (now Ivy's café in the TV programme).
You wouldn't feel like you had truly seen the place that Bill Owen loved without a wander around the village of Holmfirth. Visiting the Daisy Lane Book Shop hidden away at the top of a quaint cobbled street is a must, but also take time to pop into one of the many art and craft shops that Holmfirth is becoming increasingly famous for. Look out for Ashley Jackson, the well-known landscape artist who has his own gallery in the village. End the day with a visit to the Market Hall or the award winning Holmfirth Tourist Information Centre. The shop has a wide range of gifts and Summer Wine memorabilia to buy as souvenirs of your day.
