Afternoon

Spend the afternoon shopping beneath the impressive Victorian canopy of Huddersfield's Open Market or in the intimate Byram Arcade. Or, discover the best of high street shopping in modern pedestrian areas and the Kingsgate Shopping Centre. Intersperse your shopping with refreshments in one of the many popular cafés.

For something a little more cultural take a short trip out of town and visit Tolson Museum, an impressive mansion house in the grounds of Ravensknowle Park. The vivid galleries depict the history of Huddersfield and how the boom of the textile industry changed people's lives and brought prosperity to the town.
